Whose moral outrage? In an age of homosexual, bisexual and transgender sexual tolerance, does anyone have the right to determine that Congressman Mark Foley did something immoral? According to the Democrats and liberal Main Stream Media, what he did constitutes a scandal and is disgraceful. This is laughable coming from the Democrats. The same Democrats who insist that public school students be forced to not only accept, but advocate homosexuality by "conveying respect" for a lifestyle that may violate their personal and religious beliefs. The same Democrats who censure the word GOD from all of television but allow shows promoting homosexuality ... The same Democrats who insisted that oral sex isn't sex when Bill Clinton's trist with ... 1 intern Monica was discovered. ... The same Democrats who should have thrown New Jersey Governor Jim McGreev[e]y out on his keester when it was discovered that he cheated on two wives with young men. ... Where was big moral mouth Nancy Pelosi? Or Harry Reid? ... Mark Foley is a repulsive predator who needs to be removed from society. ... But why won't the Democrats enforce this same rule when one of their own commits a reprehensible crime? ... Source of Foley messages Despite the nonsensical rantings of many wingers and their sycophants in the media that somehow Mark Foley's trangressions were outed by Democrats as part of a dirty trick just before the election, please note that the media's source for these emails and messages got them from a Republican staffer on the Hill back in July, and that it was the Abu Gonzales FBI that had buried this matter until recently ... Partisan hyperbole I have intentionally stayed away from this story this week. Something just didn't smell right. Obviously, Foley is a scumbag, but the rush for partisan advantage is disgusting. ... If it is just partisan hyperbole, then how can anyone trust them to run our government when they will willingly lie and distort just to make electoral gains at the personal expense of others. This should not be a partisan issue. Foley has been rightly condemned, and [run] out of Congress. That should be the end of the story. But sadly it is not. We now have some additional info that changes the story. Some of those who have done a little digging through publicly available info are now the target of a hate campaign including threats to their own children. ... The Republican morale Karol at Alarming News tells Republicans that if they're too stupefied by the Foley scandal to drag their asses to a voting booth on election day, they need to just snap the hell out of it. She speaks for me. Get over it already, Republicans ... assuming you're as demoralized as everybody keeps telling me you are. Which, of course, I somewhat doubt. Light rail to Cache Creek? It's no secret that floatingfoam.com is a serious contender for "most socially irrelevant blog run by a poorly bearded guy in Woodland." ... However, once in a great while, this site goes into political-overdrive. ... Not too long ago, another Woodland site ... suggested that Main Street be closed down and turned into some sort of haven for bistros and coffee shops. Well, here at floatingfoam, we believe in PROGRESS, not REGRESS. ... The old days are just that. I say make way for the new! ... Woodland is situated in a prime location, right between the massive sprawl of Sacramento and the ... Cache Creek Casino. Everyday, thousands of quarter-laden fools make the journey from the Sacramento Valley up Highway 16 to throw their money away. Woodland could be the main thoroughfare that takes them there, if we *ahem* played our cards right. I [am] proposing that we get the Cache Creek Casino tribe leaders and Sacramento Regional Transit authorities to have a pow-wow, and bring the Sacramento Light Rail right through downtown Woodland and up to Cache Creek. ... My plan would alleviate the burden of increased traffic on Highway 16, open up the Capay Valley residents to hassle-free commuting to Sacramento, and best of all, bring people right through downtown Woodland in herds... ***
